A Centre of Excellence for Systems Engineering in all areas of research and technology development, teaching and training.

Housed in the pleasant, green environment of Holywell Park on the Loughborough University campus, the dedicated, state-of-the-art centre is set to become the national focus for systems engineering capability.

The SEIC is attracting top research scientists and engineers from academia and industry keen to work together on the latest innovations in products, processes and services.

The centre offers access to research laboratories, synthetic environment laboratories, virtual engineering capabilities, office accommodation, conference facilities, a lecture theatre, exhibition area and a highly integrated communications infrastructure.


The SEIC became fully operational during the first half of 2003 and is already host to over 40 industrial and academic researchers, all working on funded projects specific to the field of systems engineering.
This venture has been set up to focus on the challenges presented by emerging complex systems.
