The
Research School of Systems Engineering at Loughborough University
has been established to provide a supportive environment for reseachers across
the University and its partner organisations who specialise in any aspect of
systems engineering including aerospace, electronic, health/medical, rail and
civil engineering.
The Research School
of Systems Engineering, spanning the three University Faculties and the
Systems Engineering Innovation Centre, has been created to:
Provide a leading
world class environment in order to encourage and foster interdisciplinary
research in the systems engineering domain
Promote and enable
the growth of interdisciplinary working in systems engineering across
the boundaries between single disciplines, departments, and faculties
Enable integrated
strategy development for interdisciplinary working in systems engineering
and coordinate the execution of the strategy
Manage the research
pipeline particularly to encourage and deliver significant research
initiatives where the opportunity requires alliances either across Departments
within the University or with key external collaborators
Create and encourage
a community within the University
Establish and
grow capability in the systems engineering area
