The third Systems Engineering Conference to be held at Loughborough focused on contributions from both the military and civil sector in support of future military capability.

Innovative systems engineering approaches will be fundamental to realising the aspirations of the UK Defence White Paper on Defence Industrial Strategy and papers for the conference were invited in four main capability engineering themes. (See Conference Papers)

The conference had contributions from a mixed balance of academia and industry including the SEIC, the BAE Systems/EPSRC NECTISE programme, and the BAE Systems Advanced Technology Centres.
It showcased current systems engineering research and provided an expert forum to discuss the challenges of future capability provision.

An exhibition offered the opportunity for suppliers to engage with the capability related research and development community.

Previous Systems Engineering Conferences at the SEIC have been part of the BAE Systems Systems Engineering Councils R&T activity and have been by invitation only. This conference was open to all.
